Single Shaft Shredder: Superior Shredding Power
The most challenging and critical stage of the production process in recycling facilities is reducing bulky, thick, and high-resistance waste to a size suitable for the next processing step (crushing or granulation). Oğuz Makina Single Shaft Shredder systems are heavy-duty machines designed to shred thick, hard, or flexible waste with high torque. These systems directly increase the capacity of your recycling line by perfectly sizing large-mass materials that traditional crushers struggle with or cannot process.
How Does a Single Shaft Shredder Work?
At the heart of the machine is a single rotating rotor (shaft) equipped with special alloy and wear-resistant cutting blades. When the tough material to be shredded is fed into the hopper, an intelligent hydraulic pusher (ram) unit pushes the material continuously and regularly toward the rotating rotor. The material is shredded by the powerful shearing (cutting) action between the moving blades on the rotating shaft and the stationary blades on the machine body.
The screen system located at the lower outlet section of the machine keeps the output particle size under control. Material can only exit the chamber when it reaches the desired size (the diameter of the screen). These screens, which have different hole diameters, feature an ergonomic design that allows operators to change them quickly and easily.
